I Wish They All Could Be Throat Yogurt Girls

This above slogan is for Helen, who introduced us to the term "throat yogurt" today. Slogan courtesy of The Advertising Slogan Generator.

Honorable mention to:

  • Make Throat Yogurt Yours

  • Think Throat Yogurt

  • Out Of The Strong Came Forth Throat Yogurt

  • Drinka Pinta Throat Yogurt A Day

(Link stolen fair und square from DeAnna)

Two Five Points for the first person to comment where I got "fair und square" from.

Update: I had no idea how esoteric "fair und square" was! I know the answer and it took me over a half hour to find it on the web in the wee hours of the morning. Therefore I have increased the points to five and will give hints:

  • Aired in 1975

  • Minor villain in a Saturday morning cartoon

1 "fair und square" comes from Frau Blücher in Young Frankenstein, eh?

Posted by: Mo at December 17, 2003 08:14 PM (zUlJr)

2 Nope. It's a bit older.

3 Just guessing here, but was it perhaps American Graffiti

Posted by: Clancy at December 17, 2003 09:51 PM (lVApE)

4 Nope, definitely not American Graffiti. I didn't realize this one was this esoteric. I'm going to bump the point level to 5.

5 Give us a decade? Now that you've said older than Young Frankenstein I guess Hogan's Heroes is right out.

6 Oops. It's actually a year younger than Young Frankenstein. I've compensated for this foul and treacherously misleading information by giving two clues.

10 The only thing that comes close in my meeger memory is Dastardly and Muttley from the Wacky Races. "Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee"...

Posted by: Clancy at December 19, 2003 10:36 AM (EGVPL)

11 That's very close, Clancy. Deserving of another hint, I believe. This particular villain first showed up in a race against Tom & Jerry.

Posted by: Jim at December 19, 2003 11:15 AM (fkewd)

12 I'm still guessing, but if that was close then hopefully it was close on the Muttley side... How about Lt. Mumbly? I honestly can't remember him doing anything but snickering, but maybe that the answer your looking for?

13 Purple Baron? Seems like a longshot, I can only find that he was in one episode.....

Posted by: MojoMark at December 19, 2003 03:25 PM (E+LQu)

14 That's it! MojoMark gets 5 points and joins the Leader Board! He was in only one T&J episode but had a couple appearances in other Hanna-Barbera cartoons. "Fair und square, Baron?" "Fair und square." Should have it updated some time tonight.

15 MojoMark - You're good. The Purple Baron is the ONLY villain I can find referenced in a Race against Tom & Jerry in 1975. (Isn't the internet a wonderful thing?) Jim, If that's not it, you're gonna have to post some reference... This is all quite confusing - Tom and Jerry didn't speak!!!
