The Noose Has Closed
I've posted the epilogue for Writer's Noose. I was going to wait for tomorrow but since tonight is Halloween I have no idea if I'll even get a chance to turn the box on tomorrow. I took the easy way out, posting it now with tomorrow's time stamp.

I've got a couple of hypothesis. The obvious one is that those ancient and holy woods really did hate him. He was the catalyst for the death of a veritable tribal chieftess, after all.
Or maybe he hung himself and somebody removed the rope afterwards. Maybe Becky's ghost gave him a final dignity before she passed to her next destination.
It's possible that he tried to hang himself and either failed or was stopped. He had signs of asphyxiation but that wasn't what killed him. He had a lot of blood loss already. Maybe flopping around on the rope opened that leg wound back up and he bled to death. The autopsy would pick this up later.
There is one unexplained oddity though. If he smashed the laptop like he was planning, how did Becky put up the news article from the Toronto Sun? Even if he didn't smash it, weren't the "spirits", either real or in his delusion, using his body to do their web work? Very puzzling stuff.

Maybe some unsuspecting out-of-work ex-programmer wino can find the laptop in dumpster and discover access to the blog and take it over. Mayhem would be sure to follow!

It's a bit like the Blair Witch Project, but different. Maybe more like that Stephen King one with the freaked out writer's fan.
Is the laptop's revenge to keep blogging? Or to keep taking over the munu blogs one by one? Are we being stalked?
