I'm this close to throwing this in the trash heap
I'm under a constant stream of crapspam bombardment. I started to go through entries one by one to turn commenting off but that is just this side of ridiculous seeing as I have a bonifide shitload of posts.

How the fuck can I turn all commenting off on an MT blog?

The best thing you can do is install the new version of blacklist. It completely solved my problem. It closes comments on all posts older than...whatever date you set. I opted for 14 days.
I went from getting hundreds a day to nothing...or one or two that get trapped in the moderated bin and don't show up on the blog.

Good suggestion, Paul. Pixy already set me up an MT3 playground, I just haven't had the time to get it ready for use yet. Guess I'll be making that a priority.

I was being *minimally* crapflooded over the weekend. Quite obviously I was pissed because I just moved off my old site because of comment spam.
I wanted to quit. Then I wanted to cry.
Then I decided to buck up and load the shotgun.

Do what I had Kittysays do, change your commenting to where you have to preview first, then post.

I did the forced preview thing. Our multi-blog setup makes the other one impossible. Hopefully this will at least slow the bastards down.
