Susie's a sicko

She's wondering if she's sick enough. My Papa used to say "If you're sick enough to notice, you're sick enough to stay home". Or was it "If you're sick enough to notice, you're sick enough to drink a half gallon of my home-pressed vegetable juice cocktail".

I have a disturbing feeling it was that second one.

1 The only rule we ever had regardin' such was that if you were able to drive to work, do so, and if the boss sends ya back home, he or she knew why you did not work that day and did not have the suppressed subconscious opinion that you jes' took the day off to go fishin' or somethin'. We also got a rule that says jes' 'cause you are too sick to work don't necessarily mean you are too sick to go fishin'.

2 Heh. I worked we a LOT of people who believed they should share their germs with the less fortunate. I lived with two short-people who felt the same way.
