We couldn't stop the fire
It's been always burnin' since the world's been turnin'. The best we can get is somebody to watch over it and make sure it doesn't get out of control. This week the Bonfire of the Vanities is minded by Boots and Sabres. Feel free to go and warm yourself by the flames. It's safe.

hmm, I was thinking it was a song but I'm reasonably sure that's "we didn't start the fire" ... and now of course that's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day ... damn

That's the one. 2 more points for Rob.
I've still got a stack of Billy Joel 45's (yes, 45's) somewhere. I used to listen to them practically 24 x 7 when I was a lad. My quadraphonic record player could hold 8 at a time in the ready position. You couldn't wander far from the player though as any stack of 8 was going to have at least one with a scratch on it and you had to be there to carefully move the needle out of the groove. And no, simply not playing the scratched records was not an option.

But you got the title wrong on your post, babe.
And do you EVER sleep?

The title was intentional. I should have asked for the source that inspired it instead of just asking for the source.
Sure I sleep. I have meetings almost every day!

What if YOU are the 1000th commentor, Jim? Do you give the points to yourself?
Pressure is my favorite all time B.J. song...but that one's a close third or fourth (the stranger and downeaster alexa edge it out)

Hmmm...I'll have to be careful not to be commenter for number #1000...
Dammit, Susie. I was just trying to remember Pressure but Under Pressure (Queen) jumped right up into my forebrain and now I can't get it out. And it's threatening to turn into "Ice, Ice, Baby" now!
AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!
Ah well, that's why God invented MP3s.
